Distinguished Service Award

Our project teams work every day to ensure the safety of our clients, subcontractors, employees and neighbors, especially during unexpected events. This was the case for IAG Project Safety Manager James Humason, whose keen observation and compassionate actions helped discover and treat a colleague’s potentially life-threatening illness.

During the course of a work day, James noticed that a project team member appeared to be suffering from an unknown illness. Through keen observation, James determined that the team member required immediate medical attention. He arranged emergency transport, ensured the team member received interim, onsite medical treatment, and accompanied them to the hospital. Over the course of the next three days, the hospital diagnosed and treated a potentially life-threatening medical condition. During that time, James continued to offer support through multiple hospital visits. Due to James’ exemplary actions, a team member received vital immediate care and is expected to make a full recovery.
