TritenIAG drives dairy, landfill, and food waste-to-RNG projects as part of continued leadership in emerging technologies

Today, that work includes a growing portfolio of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects with landfill gas, dairy, and food-waste feedstocks. RNG delivers meaningful environmental benefits by converting waste methane into fuel, lowering emissions, and improving waste management. Demand is scaling worldwide as regulators tighten carbon-reduction requirements and feedstock availability expands. In the U.S., market value has jumped from USD 458 million in 2018 to USD 2.4 billion in 2024. This trajectory creates favorable conditions for owners and investors, supported by strong demand signals and currently stable policy incentives.

Here’s a look at several of the projects we’re helping bring to market:

Dairy to RNG
‍TritenIAG was selected to provide technical, contractual, and project management services for the development of a dairy farm waste to renewable natural gas project. We lead the feasibility assessment, preliminary design, cost estimating, contractor selection, and management of front-end engineering and design. The project is designed to process waste from over 12,000 cows supplied by several local dairies into RNG. The RNG will ultimately be injected into a local utility’s natural gas pipeline and distributed to consumers across its distribution system.

Landfill RNG
‍After acquiring an RNG production company, the same client recognized the need for stronger project management infrastructure for its landfill to gas projects. Based on our success on the dairy to RNG project, TritenIAG was asked to review a landfill to RNG project and offer targeted guidance wherever critical expertise was missing. Our initial scope quickly expanded to include interface management between engineering and construction contractors and on-site construction oversight. Impressed with our structured approach and ability to create alignment, the client engaged us to oversee the engineering contractor and support overall project execution. They then integrated TritenIAG as the Owner’s Engineer within an integrated project management team model for three additional projects, leveraging our project management, engineering, project controls, and technical subject-matter expertise across key disciplines. TritenIAG has been engaged to perform similar services on multiple additional RNG projects.

Dairy and food waste-to-RNG
‍An infrastructure-focused investment group sought support when multiple dairy RNG projects stalled and experienced significant cost escalation. TritenIAG was  engaged to perform due diligence on the projects and supplement the owner’s team to drive the projects to completion. Along with the due diligence effort on the dairy RNG projects, we are also conducting a due diligence effort on a food waste to RNG project and will support the client’s team during execution.
